Thank you for checking out our donations page! The Dobbs Ferry Food Pantry accepts both financial and food donations. Please read on for more information about how and what to donate. Use the button below to donate to the food pantry.

Our staff is all volunteer, so 100% of your donations go to serving the needs of our clients.

Financial Donations

If not using Paypal, please mail your tax deductible check made out to “Dobbs Ferry Food Pantry” to 343 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, NY 10522.

These donations enable the pantry to purchase items at Feeding Westchester at a much lower cost than what is normally available at a grocery store. Some items in our bulk purchase orders are free. Sometimes we need to purchase items from grocery stores, even after a food drive! These donations help defray these expenses.

Since we are entirely a volunteer organization, 100% of your donations (less credit card transaction fees) are put towards buying the items that are needed most at the pantry.

Food Donations

If you would like to donate stock, please send us an email. We are happy to accept securities. We can always use the following items in smaller sizes (for easier carrying – many of our clients walk to the pantry):  flour, cooking oil, dried beans, tuna and canned fish or meats, canned/boxed tomatoes, apple sauce and other dried and canned fruits, macaroni and cheese, substantial soups, peanut butter and jelly, cereals, pasta sauce and spaghetti.

Food can be left at the church in the vestibule of the sanctuary or in the kitchen, during business hours at the office (M-Th from 9am to noon), or you can email us to arrange a time at

Matching Gifts

Some employers generously match donations of employees to charitable organizations. If you need help navigating the matching gifts process, please contact us.

Where can I drop off goods tomorrow at 11am?

    • dfpantry says:

Thank you, Eric. The pantry is open tomorrow between 10:00 and 12:00, but I’ll get there around 9:00. The pantry is located at South Presbyterian Church, 343 Broadway in Dobbs Ferry. See you around 11:00. If there’s any problem, call me on my cell: 914-522-1154.

  2. Theresa McCarthy says:

Do you pick up food donations?

    • dfpantry says:

Theresa, thank you for thinking of the Dobbs Ferry Food Pantry. You were asking if we pick up food donations. Sometimes volunteers will offer to pick food up or make deliveries for us. Where are you located and how much food do you have to offer? We’ll figure it out from there.

  3. Pam says:

I saw somewhere on-line that you are especially in need of cooking oil and diapers. Is that still the case?

    • dfpantry says:

Yes, Pam. This past week we gave Stop & Shop gift cards to people so that they wouldn’t have to stay in line for long, but we hope to include a bag of food each week along with the cards. Cooking oil is one of the items our clients ask for the most, as well as size 5 and 6 diapers. Another popular item is dried black beans, so if you’re in the supermarket and can pick something up for us we would be most appreciative. Thank you for thinking of us!

  4. Tara says:

    Can I donate fresh vegetables?

    • dfpantry says:

Tara, we would love to have fresh vegetables to give to our clients if you could drop them off on Wednesday morning around 9:00. Would that be possible? That way they could be packed into bags to be ready for when the clients arrive at 10:00.

Thanks for letting me know. I’ll see what I can gather either this week or in the future.

  6. April Gandert says:

Hi, I see that there is a drop off point for food donations for the Hastings food pantry at Foodtown in Hastings. Is there a thought about setting up a food donation drop off point at Stop & Shop in Dobbs Ferry for the Dobbs Ferry food pantry? I think if you had that you would get additional donations as there are probably other people who want to donate but don’t want to make an additional trip beyond going to the grocery store. Hope this is a helpful suggestion for you.
